Weekend recap - 30.11 > 02.12.2018 - Preschool breakup, Kerang Sporties & Ulupna Wedding
The last week of November 2018 had me play the Moama Preschool Christmas break up at the Moama Adventure play park.
It was a very chilled out evening, with lots of families enjoying a picnic type of setting in the evening sun. Of course, the big man in red stole the show completely - but I didn’t mind riding shotgun.
Friday night saw me over at the Kerang Sports and Entertainment Club ( or rather the Kerang “Sporties” ) for an evening of tunes in the beer garden. There was quite an attentive crowd enjoying relaxing and listening to acoustic music while enjoying their meals and drinks. The Sporties can get pretty hectic, and even though there were still plenty dancing, it was a very relaxed night. Very welcome!
Saturday I got the honour of playing for Britt & Steve Somerfield at their wedding out at the Redgum River Resort near Ulupna Island. It was a fairly warm day to be in a suit - but still a lovely occasion. I got to do something a bit different and learn one of the newly weds favourite songs in Song #3 by Stone Sour for their first dance.
The night was very pleasant and rolled on to everyone’s delight, though the insect life was on full display, they couldn’t distract from the fantastic venue and scenery with all the lovely details put together for this wedding - congrats and all the best to Britt and Steve! That marked this Echuca Wedding Singer’s last wedding for 2018 ;).
And Sunday was the day off - the first one in quite a while :D. I’ll take in all the rest i’ve been afforded into the festive season. Big weekend again ahead - can’t wait!
